The Machine Learning Systems Group develops applications requiringknowledge discovery, data mining, pattern recognition, and automatedclassification and clustering. The underlying emphasis is on buildingsystems based on learning algorithms. We conduct basic research aswell as applications leading to one-of-a-kind proof of conceptsystems. Our foucs is on the automated analysis of scientific datagenerated by NASA and JPL instruments, on the development oftechnologies for adaptive systems, and on enabling technologies forautonomous spacecraft.
